The Rock appreciates all support from both individuals, trusts and companies. Below are some of the Trusts and partners we have worked with and have recently supported The Rock. Advent Charitable Trust

A Cheltenham Trust that occasionally surprises us with a cheque.

Cheltenham Borough Council – various funds.

Local Councillors often visit and join in with whatever’s going on.  In 2021 Mayor Councillor Steve Harvey paid a visit to TNT, enthusiastically cheering on a game of handball, and answering questions  from young people.

Active Gloucestershire

Supports our sports groups to ensure we can keep our membership fees down.

Co-Op bank Community Fund

Supports Children’s cooking club.

Garfield Weston Foundation

Generous supporters over several years – they contribute to general funds.

Gloucestershire County Council

Has various funds available depending on immediate priorities.

We received a grant from their County Fund towards Equip over a period of 3 years.

National Lottery

Originally their ‘Awards for All’ fund supported the Community Café.  Now their ‘Community fund’ supports the Children’s Cooking club.

Wonderful supporters of Scoot and Skate.

Various grants over the years – they are a ‘hub’ for many small funds, doing the administration of grants on their behalf.  They’ve supported Community Café, Space 51, TNT, helped with Covid relief work, our transition back to ‘normal’, and the re-opening of evening groups when Covid restrictions permitted.

Tesco Community Grants

We’ve had funding from ‘Bags of Help’, which has now become Tesco Community Grants.  They focus on activities supporting children and families.  They’ve supported our holiday project Activate and helped with Covid relief activities.  Our local Community Co-ordinator, Marisa, is also a volunteer @ The Rock.

St Mark’s Church, Cheltenham

Have been regularly contributing to @ The Rock through their Mission team.

The Rank Foundation – Pebble grants

Pebble grants support holiday clubs and we achieved funding for Activate.

Zurich Community Trust

Likes to support activities close to their offices.  We’ve welcomed visitors from them several times.  They’ve supported our Healthy Eating and Bike Maintenance projects.

Allchurches Trust

Contributed to our early intervention project back in 2015.  Their ‘Build Back Better’ fund supported our post-covid work with those seriously impacted by the pandemic.

Originally supported us to buy additional, slightly smaller, mountain bikes for our fleet and have since funded the various trips made to the Forest of Dean by keen young riders.

Support for Young Leaders attending a Residential. The young leaders complete their form and we provide support information.

Magic Little Grants

Archery club

Mid-Counties Co-Operative funding

Contributed some funding to our Children’s cooking club.  The educational and food-related aspects of this club meet their priorities.

Have funded Equip workshops to help young people gain Bicycle maintenance qualifications.  Funded Archery club in 2020, and Activate in 2021.

St Peter’s and The Moors Big Local

Commissioned the Community Café from us some years back, which has now become the Children’s cooking club.  Team members regularly visit this session to connect with families.  Will support events we run, and invite us to their events.  When asked, by young people, will often fund their specific activities – such as the Young Leaders Residential.
